Washington Redskins: Behind The Music (VIDEO)
Comedian/Redskins fan Danny Rouhier is a long-time favorite here at ReadAndReact, so we thought we’d check in on him for the first time this season to see how he’s doing. And as you might have guessed, he – along with every other Redskins fan in America – is understandably upset with the state of his favorite franchise.
This week, Rouhier turns nostalgic about the ‘Skins, drawing parallels between the up & down history of the club and that of an 80′s rock band. And once again, he delivers a gem with Redskins Week 10: Behind the Music:
Wait, who didn’t love Roxette in the early ’90s?!?
If it seems like we’re piling on the Redskins this week, it’s not intentional … there’s just always a bounty of great content whenever a team implodes on national television the way they did.
Now this is Fantasy Football (VIDEO)
Fantasy Football has literally taken over America, with millions of wanna-be GMs poring over their make believe rosters week-in and week-out, in an effort to prove superior football knowledge over their peers. It’s changed the way most of us watch the game, and we at R&R are certainly no different, spending far too much team each week managing our fake line-ups. And we’re not too proud to admit it.
Well for the folks over at G4 – who certainly know a thing or too about being a geek – the word “fantasy” conjures up some different images (i.e., World of Warcraft, Dungeons & Dragons and the like). So the nerds over there took the time to imagine what it would look like if their definition of “fantasy” collided with our world of pro football … and present it to us in a Tecmo Bowl-style video game. Need I say more?
Enjoy, Via G4:
The Ryan brothers are bringing sexy back to the NFL
The New York Jets are preparing to play the Cleveland Browns this weekend, which means that Rex Ryan will be squaring off against his twin brother (and Browns Defensive Coordinator) Rob Ryan. And with sibling rivalry involved, you just knew that Rex was going to stoke the fire with some good ol’ fashioned pre-game trash talk.
But Rex took things to the next level today, coming out for his press conference before the NY media dressed up as his brother Rob. He then went on to jokingly place a bounty on Rob’s head for this weekend:
“There is a bounty this week,” Rex, as Rob, said. “I know I’m going to hear from the league, but I’m placing a bounty on my brother’s head. I am concerned some players will bounce off of him. I know I’m going to hear about it from the league, that is the truth.”
Thank GOD Ryan family … seriously, if these guys weren’t in the league, we would have missed out on some amazing comic relief over the years. I mean, maybe they drew the short straw when it comes to metabolism, but those Ryans sure are funny!
Watch video of the full press conference here (it gets good around the 2:20 mark).

SNL belatedly tackles Brett Favre controversy (VIDEO)
UPDATE: In real world news, Favre reportedly admitted to the NFL on Tuesday that he left voice mails for Jenn Sterger, but denied sending any pictures of his junk.
So I guess that puts and end to that whole saga. [/sarcasm]
______________
Well, it came a little late, but the occasionally funny gang at Saturday Night Live finally leveled their trademark rapier wit on the Brett Favre controversy last night with this ad parody for Wrangler Open Fly Jeans. And it’s actually not bad. Jason Sudeikis does a decent Favre impression, but be sure to watch the reactions of his teammates.

Hey, it could be worse … you could be a Redskins fan (video)
The playoffs can be an emotional time for football fans. While Packers fans have been crying themselves to sleep these past few nights, and Eagles fans are attacking female Romo fans, we thought it would be good to give everyone a little bit of perspective on things. So before you go throwing yourself in front of a bus because you won’t get to watch Tom Brady’s chin any more this season, please try to keep in mind that a) it’s just a game and b) it could always be worse … you could be a Redskins fan.
Comedian Danny Rouhier – of Redskins Anonymous fame – is back to recap the painful experience that was the Washington Redskins 2009 season. Love this guy.
Awesomely Hilarious Video: Matt Stafford is now a man
I don’t know who wrote this song (UPDATE: as I should have guessed, it’s from the South Park guys, and was actually the opening theme song for Trey Parker’s movie Orgazmo), but it’s definitely the best thing I’ve heard in a while. The fact that it’s set to a montage of Matt Stafford pics and highlights is just icing on the cake.
Hope you enjoy a laugh on this pre-holiday Tuesday:
Live it, Live it!
