Watch this Ravens fan lose it after Cundiff’s missed FG (VIDEO)
We feel badly for Ravens fans today. Honestly, we do. The Baltimore defense played tremendous football in yesterday’s AFC Championship, holding Tom Brady in check, only to have their Super Bowl hopes dashed by a missed chip shot FG by K Billy Cundiff.
Imagine how it must feel to have been a Ravens fan watching it all unfold yesterday. Brutal, right? Now imagine watching your favorite team lose while surrounded by “friends” who came over to your house for the big game, and decided to have some fun by cheering for the Pats all day. Well, thanks to this video, we get to experience the loss through just that perspective.
From the Youtube description: ”Our good friend has a passion for Maryland sports. Maybe an obsession.” And as you’ll see, their good friend’s passion reached its breaking point after Cundiff’s shank, and he decided that everyone needed to leave his house. Immediately.

This 6-year-old Jets fan knows more about football than you (VIDEO)
At first, the idea of watching a 6-year-old kid cry over his favorite football team’s misfortunes just seems cruel … and then you realize that you’re dealing with a wunderkind who has every team in the NFL’s schedule memorized, and understands the subtle nuances of the AFC playoff race in Week 11.
Then, you just sit there and marvel at the sheer breadth of this kid’s knowledge (even in the midst of a full-on meltdown), while mom tries to help him come to terms with the years of inevitable pain & suffering that lay ahead for this young Jets fan.
That’s just good parenting, right there.
Angry fan delivers epic rant to Browns’ “Factory of Sadness” (VIDEO)
Following the Browns’ ugly loss at the hands of the Texans yesterday, comedian and lifelong Cleveland fan Mike Polk, Jr. felt the need to unleash his frustrations on someone or something. And with the Browns playing oh so far way in the state of Texas, Polk found the next best thing to vent on … their stadium, which he has appropriately dubbed a “Factory of Sadness”.
As Mike says in the video description, “Some times it’s nice to just yell at a building”:
Yep. This pretty much sums up the feelings of Browns fans everywhere.
PS – in case you were wondering, Mike is wearing a Ryan Pontbriand jersey … the Browns’ long snapper, who might just be their most consistent player. Perfect.
Raiders fans implore Al Davis to hire a GM … via billboard
Following the successful example set by Buffalo Bills fans earlier this season, a group of Oakland Raiders fans have taken the next logical step in trying to appeal to Al Davis’ sense of reason: billboards. The guys at MessageToAl.com spent $5,500 on this billboard (pictured above) near Oakland Alameda County Stadium, begging Davis to hire a General Manager to run the Raiders.
But wait, there’s more! They’ve also started a petition that goes along with the billboard, asking 4 things from Davis:
- Step down as General Manager
- Hire a new GM
- Hire a Super Bowl caliber coach
- Agree to refrain from intervention in personnel or football operational matter
The petition has over 25,000 signatures so far, with donations for the billboard being collected via their website. 22-year-old Jared Staszewski of Erie, Pennsylvania – who must have suffered immeasurably lo those many years – is leading the effort on behalf of Raiders fans everywhere.
VIDEO: Jets Fan finally loses it after “30-40 years of this sh!#”
This is simply fantastic.
From the November 15th tilt between the New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars comes this footage of a Jets fan reaching his breaking point. After watching his beloved Gang Green lose at the last second yet again (24-22 to a middling Jags team), this season ticket holder just snaps, and unleashes a profanity-laden tirade for the ages. Nobody is safe from his invective, including the chair in front of him, and the poor Jets cheerleaders.
WARNING: this includes a LOT of swearing, so turn down your volume if you’re at work (there are handy subtitles to go along with the diatribe), and enjoy:

As an east coast boy living in the Rockies, I can tell you that you just don’t get these types of tirades at sporting events out here. It’s classic New York. Everyone around these parts is trying so hard to be polite, and simply wouldn’t tolerate this sort of outburst. Which is too bad, because some of my fondest childhood memories are from “show your tits” chants at Yankees games. I mean, that’s good fun for the whole family, right there.
Free love: Cutler’s return to Denver
It’s just a preseason game, but Jay Cutler’s return to Denver tomorrow pits a cranky, irritated fanbase against a punkish, moody quarterback–who used to be their punkish, moody quarterback. For the Bears, it’s a third preseason game–then get out of town. For the Broncos, and their fans, it cuts deeper. Beyond crushing Cutler and ending his season with a mind-blowing concussion, it’s just a game of sticks and stones–the Broncos fans still have to enter 2009 with Kyle Orton at quarterback (doubt many Bears fans are ringing their hands over that reunion).

It seems like a bear would rather spend time in Colorado than Chicago--but that would make too much sense, of course.
Moreover, Denver has bigger fish to fry than Cutler. The “sense of entitlement” void left by Cutler was immediately filled (and then some) by Brandon Marshall, perhaps the most tedious player west of Ochocinco. Josh McDaniels, who has been bathed in drama since taking the job, took a stand in suspending the flagrantly lazy, diva-like Marshall–and it may have earned back his respect with the team.
If something doesn’t feel right in Denver–beyond the exodus of star power–it may be the fact that the team’s schedule includes the Patriots, Steelers, Colts, and the NFC East. Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen, however, is not dismayed, at least openly. He told the Denver Post’s Mike Klis, “I’m really optimistic about — not so much we’re going to win 12 games or anything like that — but optimistic that we’re going to be a good football team,” Bowlen said. “I like what I see. I’m really happy with my staff and the coaches. I’ve got to know most of them pretty well. I’ve watched how they interact — it’s a good buzz going around this upstairs floor.”
We wonder if the state’s rich supply of Coors could have something to do with that.
