NFL WEEK FIVE LIVE GAME BLOG: BRADY VS. ORTON EDITION!

By TheDarkHorse

Week Five of the NFL season is upon us. One of day’s most-anticipated matchups features legendary Tom Brady and the New England Patriots against good ol’ boy Kyle Orton and the Denver Broncos. David vs. Goliath!

You may recall the Friday phone call we recorded between Brady and Orton back in mid-September. Who knew, back then, that Denver would be undefeated? WE DID. (OK… no… we didn’t, but we’ve always liked Orton’s devil-may-care style and grace… and we like their chances at home today.)

If anybody has doubts about Orton and his mountain boys, this game is an opportunity for Denver to silence the critics. We’ll be keeping an eye on this game–and every game–all day long.

Brandon Marshall continues to climb his way out of the doghouse with his 2nd TD of the day.

98 yard TD drive by Orton and Broncos to tie the game at 17-17.

The Orton/Brady duel has lived up to the pre-game hype!!!

The Texans/Cards game has turned into a good one too.

4th and goal from the 1 for the Texans, with less than a minute … they need 7 to tie it.

    Here we go.

Chris Brown gets stuffed at the goal line. I don’t like the call. With talent like Johnson, Slaton and Daniels, you spread the defense out and let your talent win the game. Houston isn’t a power football team.

Arizona hangs on to win 28-21.

And now it’s Brady’s turn to try and win the game with under 2 minutes to go.

Patriots FUMBLE … but recover the ball. That was nearly disaster.

Broncos force the turnover! Brady got stripped by Vonnie Holliday and Denver recovers in Denver territory.

Orton with the chance to win it!

    And we’re going to overtime.

Once again, we picked the best game of the day to feature for our game blog … I only wonder if there’s anyone out there watching it along with me.

I feel so alone … cyperspatially speaking, I mean.

Good for Bengals DC Mike Zimmer. That’s a really emotional moment in the locker room post-game when they presented him with the game ball.

This Broncos-Pats matchup has lived up to the billing.

Josh Mc has done a good job coaching this team up to now.

Eddie Royal is having a great day. Orton looks shockingly good at this point.

Prater wins is from 41 yards out!

McDaniels defeats Belichick … you gotta like the energy out of the young coach. I can’t believe they’re 5-0, though.

Two months ago, Josh was a laughing stock.

    Now, everybody’s in love.

Winning is all that matters in this league.
