Fox announced on Friday that it has picked up 13 episodes of the new comedy “Brothers” – starring the NFL’s single-season sack leader and former New York Football Giant Michael Strahan – for its Fall line-up.
Strahan will be really stretching his acting chops as he plays a Mike Trainor, a retired NFL star who returns home to re-connect with his family – especially his brother, who is confined to a wheelchair. Hilarity ensues.
The pilot episode has apparently been getting great reviews, but you can make up your own mind from the preview clip below (via GiveMeMyRemote):
Say what you will about it, but Strahan has always been comfortable in front of the camera, and seems to at least be a decent actor. And the writers will have hours of pure comedy gold if they keep making those hilarious gap tooth jokes. Gold, Jerry. Gold!
