Memo to Brett Favre: Dear God Make it Stop!

favre_viking

Word on the street is that Brett Favre is meeting with Vikings head coach Brad Childress this week about his possible return to the NFL.  I’d rather jam my hand in a vice than discuss  his 2nd un-retirement in as many seasons.

Question: has any single player in professional sports ever gone from his status as the most beloved player in the sport to the most annoying in such a short period of time? And if he goes to the Vikings, won’t he become public enemy #1 of Packers fans everywhere?  And who first figured out how to milk a cow, and what were they thinking they were doing at the time?

[...] we here at ReadAndReact have grown weary of Favre’s act of late.  We are well-documented in our distaste for his retiremental flip-flopping, which actually grew tiresome last off-season when he originally [...]

at this point I have no respect for Brett Favre. once he was great, now he’s an obnoxious joke. I want to hear more about his pathetic need to jerk us all around like I want to hear about Paris Hilton’s toe nail polish. Honestly I care more about Kim Kardashians behind than I do about this Legend turned wishy-wash-whiner. Hes tainted his career with this, this desperate grab at the spotlight is what we will remember him for, not the MVP’s not his talent, but his inability to man up, suck it up, and move on. He’s aliented the majority of his fan base, and I’m included. I’m tired of his crap, he’s starting to remind me of a woman constantly suffering from PMS. From his crying, to his whining, to his indecisive fence straddeling it all boils down to a great man, acting like a sniveling little girl. There is a point where you love the game and just want to play, and there is a point where you can’t deal with life and rather than go with grace, you opt to be a trajic has-been. I’m sorry Brett took the low road on this one, over and over and over and over again. I have no respect left for him, or his talent.
