CAUGHT: former Cowboys' quarterback Brad Johnson keeping his ear to the ground in search of gossip about Terrell Owens
The Dallas Morning News is reporting today that Brad Johnson was Ed Werder’s “snitch” last season. Last season, an unnamed source made a number of comments to ESPN’s Werder about former Dallas Cowboys’ receiver Terrell Owens’ alleged temper tantrums concerning the close relationship between Tony Romo and Jason Witten– friction that made national headlines, arguably divided the Cowboys’ lockerroom at a critical time in the season, and caused the Cowboys to jettison Owens this off-season. For months, speculation had run rampant in Dallas that Witten was the source of those comments. Witten, who strongly denied the allegation at the time, was apparently telling the truth, at least according to Warren Sapp (see video below to see what Sapp let slip). The lollipop-throwing Johnson, who was an abomination in three starts for the Cowboys last year, was released by the team as well this off-season.

Brad Johnson, seen here hugging it out with a Tampa Bay defender, won't be hugging Terrell Owens anytime soon if reports are accurate
